YOU CANNOT BE IN CONTROL & SURRENDERED..

Daughters of God,

A QUICK WORD FROM THIS MORNING'S PRAYER CALL:

Let whatever trial, storm, or experience you're facing do what it was designed to do. It's meant to produce something in you.

The storm in your life will get you to where God needs you to be.

JONAH!

Jonah yielded to his feelings and not the word of the Lord. God sent the storm to reroute him. The storm will get you back to where you need to be, not just physically..but spiritually, mentally, emotionally. It's meant to get you back into alignment with God. It'll force you to come into agreement and alignment with the Lord and His plans for you.

James 1:2-4 (NKJV) 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have [its] perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

The trial you are experiencing is really a TESTING OF YOUR FAITH. This testing of your faith is going to produce something in you...patience. But you have to allow it to do what it has to do. See the trial through, see the storm through and RESPOND WELL.

The trials put your faith through the fire. When something is put through fire, it's meant to refine it...to purify it. Verse 4 says LET patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. That word perfect is not our idea of perfect. But it means MATURE. Patience is meant to mature you. Think about when you plant in the garden, you must exercise patience as you wait for your seed to develop and mature into the crop for harvest.

So when you ask God for patience...you better believe a trial is on the way. (the truth is you already have patience, because patience is a fruit of the Spirit and the Spirit of God lives on the inside of you...but its up to you to WALK in that fruit...to CULTIVATE that fruit that it may grow... The bible says WALK BY THE SPIRIT that you do not gratify the desires of the flesh...it's a choice)

What Jonah experienced was for his good. For his good, and God's glory. It was for his good because as a prophet of God, if he didn't deliver the message and warn the people, the blood would have been on his hands. It was for God's glory because the men in the boat cried out for the God of Jonah, feared the Lord and offered a sacrifice unto Him.

So, instead of trying to avoid doing what God told you to do, just surrender.

YOU CANNOT BE IN CONTROL & SURRENDERED AT THE SAME TIME.

It's one or the other. When you are in a posture of surrender, your hands are lifted up to the Lord. If your hands are lifted up, that means that they're not on the wheel. That's why you cannot be in control AND surrendered at the same time.

Stay surrendered.

Keep your hands off.

& Keep your hands up.

and be sure to RESPOND WELL. (with worship, praise, & magnifying His name)
